Darius Olsen - Class Of 2016 VIEW PROFILE

Submitted by Kaylee Birkland: Darius was hilarious, kind, and a little outrageous. His jokes seemed inappropriate, not "politically correct," but they were always just jokes. He wanted everyone to sign his year book senior year, even if you neer spoke to him. He missed graduation for a trip to New York City. He was supposed to start at Eastern Washington University in the fall of 2016. He was a bright young man. He is continuously missed.

On June 25, 2016 this world lost an amazing young man with a kind heart and the ability to bring a smile to the faces of others through his unique sense of humor. Darius Duane Olsen left us too early. He was born to Cyndi Rai and Delmar Olsen on June 23, 1997 at their home in the Spokane Valley, WA.

He is remembered for his kind heart, loving spirit, amazing sense of humor, skills at chess and willingness to help others at any time. He was home schooled until fifth grade, then attended Freeman School District and graduated from Ferris High School this spring. He was registered to attend Eastern Washington University this fall. His sense of humor lent to his success in drama and brought a smile to the faces of friends and strangers alike, lifting the spirits of anyone he came in contact with. He will be missed by all and thought of daily.

He leaves behind his loving mom, Cyndi Rai; father, Delmar Olsen; four sisters: Victoria, Elena, Moira, Francesca; niece Kalina; Grandma Debbie; Grandma and Grandpa Olsen; Great-grandma Helen; Uncle Orin and cousin Kalindi; Aunt Yvette, Uncle Mike; Aunt Bridgett; great-uncles and aunts: Steve, Jeff and Michelle, Aunt Kim, Uncle Tim, and Phil and Betty and the loving Doloughan family; his best friend Sage Davis; and many friends for whom he made the world one of smiles and laughter.

In lieu of flowers please consider donating (gofund.me/CyndiRai) to help Cyndi with funeral costs and living expenses during this immensely difficult time. Living plants and meals (https://mealtrain.com/6no22z) would be greatly appreciated as well. Services will be held Sunday, July 3, 2016 at 1:00 pm at Unity Spiritual Center Spokane, 2900 South Bernard, Spokane, WA. Reception to follow immediately after services at Unity.
