Michael Farley - Class Of 2004

FARLEY, Michael William (Age 28) Born May 11, 1986 Passed February 11, 2015 Michael was born at Fairchild Air Force Base in Spokane, WA, raised in Eastern WA (Spokane) all his life. The first couple years of high school Michael attended Gonzaga Preparatory High School where he discovered the love of writing poetry. Michael then finished his remaining years of high school graduating from Joel E. Ferris High School. Following graduation he attended Spokane Falls Community College. Michael was a compassionate, loving son, grandson, brother, uncle, nephew and friend. He is survived by his mother Denise Elaine (Rocks) Phelps; father David William Farley; sister Stacie M. Zimmerman, brother Matthew R. Farley, brother Paul A. Phelps Jr. and sister Katie L. Farley. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. During Michael's life he was able to travel to Japan with his Japanese class with some of his friends. The trip was organized by his Japanese teacher who taught at Joel E. Ferris High School. He was the first student to organize a Japanese Club at the high school he attended. Michael was able to fulfill his dream of being an author and writer of poetry as his poetry then was published. He hoped his poetry would inspire other people the way it had inspired him. He organized and was the leader of the Pokemon Club here in Spokane. He especially loved camping and fishing with his grandmother Nena Jean (Hendrickson) Zadworney. Michael truly loved his family and friends. Thank you for the overwhelming loving support of his family, friends, and to the community who knew my son. Services will be held at a later date and time at Spokane Memorial Gardens, 5909 Cheney-Spokane Rd., Spokane, WA. My beloved son Michael, you will never be forgotten. God has opened his loving arms to you; you are now at peace; you are now among the Angels in Heaven.
