Cathy Poirier (Giannou) - Class Of 1967 VIEW PROFILE

GIANNOU, Cathy (Poirier) Cathy (Poirier) Giannou was born in Spokane, WA on November 25, 1948. She died peacefully at home at the age of 72 on January 12, 2021 after a courageous and hard-fought 3+ year battle with pancreatic cancer. She graduated from Ferris High School in 1967 and began her career of serving others, working as a nurse, realtor, and customer service associate at The Added Touch. She is survived by her husband, Tony Giannou, of 47 years, two daughters, Kelli Biggerstaff (Mike), Krisha Fouladi (Fernand) and three grandchildren Luke, Ella and Liam, all of whom she dearly loved. She is also survived by brothers Mike Poirier (Joan), Mark Poirier (Jenny), nieces Jamilyn, Jade (Mark), Jess, Morghan and Terra and many other beloved family members. She was a great mother, grandparent, sister, aunt and friend. Her friends were many and she cherished them all. Cathy will be lovingly remembered for nightly feedings of "her" deer, Gonzaga basketball games, pontoon boat rides, watching bald eagles, and supporting our Troops. Thanks to Hospice of Spokane staff for their great care of mom through her final days. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Spokane or to your favorite animal shelter. A celebration of Cathy's life will be held this summer at the cabin. Those close to her will always remember, "Well anyway"
