Randy Blake - Class Of 1972 VIEW PROFILE

Our Beloved Dad, Brother, Uncle, Grandfather, Cousin, and Friend, passed away on March 14, 2022, with his family by his side.

Randy was born in Spokane in 1954 and graduated from Joel E. Ferris High School in 1972. He acquired an AA degree in ArchitecturalDrafting from SCC and later graduated from Interface Computer School. He married Christine Hansen in 1974 and they raised two wonderful children. Randy worked 25 + years in sales and technical design as one of the top drafters for The Ken Bratney Co., serving the seed and grain industries, along with breweries, feed mills, export grain terminals, and glass manufacturing. He also did design work for Reid-Strutt, Scafco, and Jacklin Seed Company. He finished his career in home remodeling, repair, and maintenance, DBA, "Handy Randy".

Randy is survived by his companion of 16 years, Mexie Lampson of Spokane; two children, Nicholas (Annie) and Amanda (Mitch) of Spokane; brother, Richard (Nancy) of Long Beach, CA; sister, Robin (David) of Deer Park, WA; grandchildren; Kaedyn, Devynn, Jazlyn, Addison, Emily, William, and Braiden. He was preceded in death by Christine Blake and his parents, Jack & Violet Blake.

Randy lived for and loved his children and grandchildren more than anything. He had a great love and respect for his parents, especially his Dad, and valued the family life they created for him and his siblings, by valuing the family, above anything, that could ever be purchased.

Randy always had a smile and a story to share with anyone and everyone he met. He loved people and always made time to help anyone in need. "He never met a stranger, only a new friend! "

Randy loved to travel and went on many trips and cruises with Mexie. He also loved reading, movies, the Seahawks, Spokane Shocks arena football, participating in several Bloomsdays with family, planes and aerospace museums, boating, camping, golfing, fishing, snow skiing with his Dad, pool tournaments with his son, friendly weekly poker with "the guys", train enthusiast and collector of MANY things. He shared his love of building and remodeling with the grandkids by taking them to the Lowe's' "Build and Grow" classes on Saturdays.

Randy was loved by all who had the pleasure of knowing him… we love you and miss you more than words can say... you're one in a million! If he could impart one thing, it would be, to treasure your family, friends, and relationships; while thanking God, the creator of all things, for the blessings in your lives.

There will be a celebration of life for Randy on Saturday, June 18 at 3 p.m. in Deer Park. Please call Robin at 509-276-9676 for details.
