Michael Valente - Class Of 1983 VIEW PROFILE

Michael R. Valente II, D.C., passed away June 9, 2022, of sepsis caused by a staph infection of unknown origin. All who knew Mike are saddened by this sudden, great loss.

Born October 31, 1964 on Long Island, NY, Mike moved with his mom, dad, and four siblings to Hayden Lake, Idaho, in 1971. In 1976, when he was 12-years-old, Mike moved to Spokane, where most of us got to know him. He went to Sacajawea Jr. High and graduated from Ferris High School in 1983, excelling at football, wrestling, track, and making everyone laugh: peers and teachers alike. Mike accepted Jesus the summer of 1981 at Young Life's camp, Malibu. And after enjoying his college football career at Spokane Falls Community College and Whitworth University, Mike went overseas to play in the World Football League for the Manchester All Stars in England. When he returned from that adventure, Mike attended Palmer College of Chiropractic, graduating in 1996. He then began his chiropractic practice in Spokane; thousands of backs and necks are better for it. Mike married the love of his life, Vicki, in 2007 and two years later, in 2009, they welcomed their son, Michael Victor.

Mike loved his family, and you never met a prouder father. It is hard to imagine the world without Mike. He brought light to our lives with his smile, booming voice, big hugs, and laughter, accepting everyone as they were. Mike provided physical healing through his chiropractic treatments and emotional healing through his forgiving nature, sense of humor, and unwavering commitment to friends and family. Many counted Mike as their "best friend", and he would have it no other way.

Mike is survived by his wife, Vicki, son Michael, brother Chuck Valente (Mollie); sisters Faith Valente (Scott Bozman) and Gina Valente (Kamal Khayat); nephews Patrick, Michael, and Graham, and nieces Denise, Katje, Sadie, Gia, and Busi. He was preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Barbara Valente and sister Lori.

Please join the celebration of Mike's life at a memorial service on July 9 at 11:00 a.m., Life Center Church, 1202 N. Government Way, Spokane, WA 99224.
