Elva Duenas - Class Of 1994 VIEW PROFILE

January 6, 1976 – July 12, 2022

On July 12, 2022, Elvajean Flores Duenas, daughter, sister, fiancée, and friend passed unexpectedly. Affectionately known as "Elva", she was called home by our Heavenly Father at the age of 46. Elva was born in Tamuning, Guam on January 6, 1976, to Eduardo N. & Fe F. Duenas, as the youngest of six children. Elva loved her family and fiancé dearly. She will forever be missed and remembered in the hearts of her: Parents, Siblings & Spouses: Eduardo N. & Fe F. Duenas, Earl & Tonya Duenas (Logan and Parker), Eileen & Adrian Reyes (Lorenzo and Mateo), Elizabeth & Leji Albano (Ainsley), Eugene A. & Kristi Duenas (Antonio, Gabriel, and Gianna), Ed & Evie Duenas. Her Fiancé and his sons: Ty Johnson (Taylor and Cooper). Numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends will also miss her.

As she entered her eternal life, she was greeted by her Grandparents: Antonio F. & Rosalia D. Flores and Eduardo C. & Catalina L. Duenas.

She was a graduate of Joel E. Ferris High School Class of 1994 and a graduate of Western Washington University in 1998. She had a passion for running often with her beloved dogs - Maya and Hanna. Elva was known for her enjoyment of running anything from 5K's, 10K's, 15K's, half marathons, color runs, bubble runs zombie runs, pretty much any kind of run. She enjoyed the runner's high, the sense of achievement and the social aspects at the end of the event. She did her best to cultivate this passion in others by coaching the younger generation via the Girls on the Run organization and trying to match friends and family to the right race. The expenditure of all those calories complimented the foodie she had become. Her experiments in cooking resulted in some phenomenal contributions to countless potlucks and gatherings.

Elva's family and fiancé would like to extend their deepest appreciation and gratitude to the many friends, colleagues and complete strangers who offer their prayers, condolences, and messages of support during the hours and days following her unexpected passing.
