Lila Rikkila (Phillips) - Class Of 1981 VIEW PROFILE

It is with great sadness to announce that we have loss another classmate. 

Laila Anne Christine Rikkila (Phillips) passed away on Sunday August 1, 2021

Shari Crosby (Davis) was best friends with her and said that she was shy and beautiful, inside and out!

We don’t really have any information on her passing right now.  Shari said her passing was in the paper on Tuesday.

After a hard-fought battle with cancer, Lila (Rikkila) Phillips passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 1, 2021 in Spokane. She was born December 4, 1962, in Van Nuys, California, but grew up in Spokane. She was a proud Joel E. Ferris High School graduate of 1981.

Lila is preceded in death by her father, Antti. She is survived by her mother: Eila Rikkila; her son, Robert Rikkila-Phillips; her daughter, Jennifer Largent (Dan); her sisters, Irene Dilley (Doug), Diane Smith (Mike); and her brother, Mike Rikkila. She also leaves behind numerous nephews and nieces whom she loved as her own.

Her family would like to thank Pauli Bailey for all her love and support during the past few years assisting with medical care for Lila. Words will never be able to express how much it means to all of us.

The family will celebrate Lila's life in private at a later date.
