Michael "Lucky" Spence - Class Of 1966

SHEPHERD - Michael A. "Lucky" Spence passed away on June 19, 2005, at the age of 57.
Lucky was born on Sept. 28, 1947, in Spokane, Wash. Mike was the middle child of James Spence and Anita Woslager. He graduated from Ferris High School and shortly after, joined the U.S. Army. He served three years in the Army, including a tour to Vietnam. When he returned to the United States, he started his career as a roofer, then became a member of Local 82 Heat, Frost and Asbestos Insulators. In his younger years, his time was spent working, hunting and having his share of fistfights. In his later years, he enjoyed hunting, golfing and being with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy Spence; and children Jennifer Simonsen, Sean Pritchard, Melissa Beringer, Andee Gifford, Katie Spence; and grandchildren Ryleigh Simonsen, Jacob and Chase Pritchard and Abbigail Hoyd. He is also survived by his mother, Anita Woslager; father James Spence; brother Jimmy Spence and family; sister Wendy Williams and family. He was a proud and beloved member of the extended Geering family.
Memorial services will be held Sunday, June 26, at the Homesteader Hall on Highway 312 next to the Montana Experiment Station, at 2 p.m.
