LUNDBERG, James Edwin Spokane -" James Edwin Lundberg, 85, died Monday, August 15, 2011, at Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane, Washington. Born and raised in Spokane, Jim entered the US Navy at 17. He proudly served our country for three years during WWII, as a Radioman/Gunner on a TBY Avenger aboard the USS Siboney Aircraft Carrier. After discharge from the Navy, he attended Eastern Washington University earning a Bachelors Degree. He went on to complete a Masters Degree in Education from Washington State University. While at Eastern, Jim met the love of his life, Rosemary. His professional career started as a teacher at schools including Jefferson, Sacajawea, and Ferris. He proudly worked for IBM (SRA) as a Sales Representative covering Eastern Washington, Idaho and Alaska. He received many promotions including Regional Manager and National Sales Manager before he retired. Not being ready for a life of leisure, Jim went to work for Capital Formation Counselors in Belleair Bluffs, FL. Jim and Rosemary missed being by children and grandchildren so they headed back to Spokane where Jim worked as the Sales Manager for Standard Blueprint for 18 years. Jim's greatest passion in life were his family and friends. He also enjoyed building model airplanes, fishing, traveling, watching Gonzaga basketball (Go Zags), Mariners baseball and giving a helping hand wherever he was needed. His last five years of life were greatly enhanced by the loving care and devotion of his wife, Rosemary. He succumbed to pulmonary fibrosis after a courageous battle surrounded by those closest to him. Having touched the lives of so many, he will be greatly missed.
