Very good baseball ,basketball player, loved to fish and hike

Our beloved Wesley, age 55 lost his courageous battle with cancer on June 1, 2014. Wesley is survived by his wife of 30 years, Sherry, parents Waldon (Wes) and Lois Westermann, brother’s Brian, David and Gary (Kathryn) and sister Sandy Phillip (Jim) as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Wesley was born and raised in Spokane, graduating from Ferris High School and EWU. He held several jobs until finding a home with the great people at BOA Merchant Services (BAMS). Wesley was an avid sports fan – Go Zags, Mariners and Seahawks. His favorite past-time was fishing. Put him in a boat with a fishing pole in his hand and he was the happiest guy on earth. All friends of Wesley and Sherry are invited to attend the funeral at Lincoln Heights Community Church, 3527 E 29th Ave, Spokane, WA 99223 (corner of 29th & Freya) at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, June 10th. Please be sure to sign the guest book. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hospice of Spokane, PO Box 2215 Spokane, WA 99210. Private interment will be held at a later date.
