Our beloved father, brother, grandfather, and friend lost his long battle with COPD on January 12, 2024. Born to Jean and Jack Wiyrick on February 1, 1953, in Redding, California. Carl graduated from Ferris High School in 1971. After high school, Carl worked for a boat factory in Spokane Valley where he eventually became the regional sales manager for the West Coast. He worked in sales most of his working years. After he retired, he worked part-time as a property manager. Carl took care of his mother for 25 years and anyone else who was in need of help. His favorite hobby was fishing with his daughter, family, and friends. Carl was a great storyteller and had some humorous fishing tales to tell. Carl had two children, and six grandchildren, and was affectionately known as "Grandpa Carl" by the children in the apartment complex he managed. He is survived by his daughter, Sophia Adolfson; son, Jason Hoy; sister, Mary (Wiyrick) Brady; and brother, Michael Wiyrick. Graveside service will be held Saturday, April 6, 2024, at 12:30 at Pines Cemetery.
