James A. Barstad, 53, a lifelong resident of Spokane, died Sunday. He graduated from Ferris High School and served in the Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. Mr. Barstad worked as the assistant manager at the Conoco Station at Third and Maple for seven years. He married Marsha Austin in Chattaroy last year. Published on 1/31/2002
