Survived By: Eva is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, and her greatest pride and accomplishment, her sons Matthew (Kettle Falls), and Seth (Spokane). She was also survived by her mother Mary J Sowers (Spokane), sisters, Christen Smith (Tony), also of Spokane and many nieces and nephews, a host of friends, both in the Spokane area and at her winter home in Gold Canyon Arizona. Eva was preceded in death by her father Clarence, brothers, William (Sonny) and Richard Sowers.

On June 16, 2008 heaven gained a gentle and loving soul when Eva J. Davenhauer passed away at Deaconess Hospital after a short brave battle with cancer. Eva was born in Spokane, WA on March 24, 1948 to Clarence and Mary June Sowers. Graduated from Adam Elementary and with the first class of Ferris High School in 1966. She gained her B.A. in Education from E.W.U. in 1970 and her Masters in Education from Gonzaga University. Eva started her teaching career as a special education teacher for Riverside and Deer Park School District. In 1971, after the birth of her first son, she joined the staff of Liberty School District where she completed her career after 32 years. After retirement from teaching, she became an educational consultant for Houghton Mifflin for Eastern Washington and North Idaho.
