Lynn Marie SITTON Was born May 23rd, 1952, the first child of Herbert and Janet Sitton, in Spokane Washington. She attended Joel Ferris High in Spokane, and earned a BA in Education at Central Washington University in Ellensburg. She worked for 30 years with the Sno-Isle Regional Library System, at their computer operations center in Marysville, and later as a reference librarian at the Mukilteo Public Library. Lynn played upright and electric bass in various theatre and symphony orchestras, including Civic Light Opera, Cascade Symphony, and the Gilbert and Sullivan Society. She was well known and respected in the Seattle area theatre music scene. Throughout her nearly nine year journey in cancer treatment, Lynn maintained her characteristic grace and determination, never complaining and always upbeat. During this time she became deeply involved with "Knit For Life", an organization that sponsors small knitting groups as a mode of healing and therapy for cancer patients and survivors. She used her natural artistic abilities to create wearable art in the form of dozens of colorful hats that she knitted for children who were undergoing cancer treatment themselves. Lynn died at her home in Edmonds on May 4th, 2007. She is survived by her partner, John Nelson of Edmonds; her parents, in Spokane, WA; her brother, Randal Sitton of Post Falls, ID; and her sister, Lori Sitton Kunkler of Yakima, WA. A Memorial Service will be held at the Center for Spiritual Living, Seattle, (206-527-8801), on Saturday, June 2 at 5:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to "Susan G. Komen Walk for the Cure", "Knit For Life", "Cancer Lifeline", or "Sno-Isle Libraries Foundation".

I didn't have the pleasure of knowing Lynn is school, my loss I think. I have for years been on a quest for our Senior Year yearbook. Mine was taken for a signature, never to be seen again. At someone's recent suggestion, I went on ebay to see if they might have one. They did. They said little about it other that it had been someone else's. There was some hesitation in my desire to purchase it, but, after a couple of days  of talking myself into it, I did. It came today. It is Lynn's. I immediately came to this website to see if I could contact her and tell her I had it, only to learn that she had passed away several years ago. Lynn, from the signatures in this book, you were loved, and greatly appreciated. There is not an empty page, they are filled with people thanking you for great memories, and hoping to share more with you. Lynn, I'm sorry I didn't get to know you while we were in school. I'm thankful that I have at long last now. Your yearbook will be held close to my heart, and I will think of you every time the book is open. Thanks for sharing yet again, another good memory.

Randy, I am probably one of those who signed.  I lost contact with most of my friends after graduating.  Lynn was one of them.  She was a wonderful person, a good friend.  I have often wondered whatever had happened to her.  As I near retirement I was thinking of trying to find her.  I am sad that that will not happen.
